At Lugar Couture, we pride ourselves on the exceptional quality and craftsmanship of our garments. However, should you need to exchange or return an item purchased through our online store, we are committed to ensuring a smooth and fair process in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA).
RETURN & EXCHANGE PERIOD
You have the right to return or exchange any item purchased online within 7 days of receipt of goods, provided the item is:
• Unworn and unused,
• In its original packaging,
• With all tags and labels attached, and
• In a resalable condition.
For defective items or items not as described, the period may extend to 6 months, in line with Section 56 of the CPA.
NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS
The following items are excluded from returns or exchanges, unless defective:
• Custom-made or tailored garments,
• Items marked as “Final Sale” or “Clearance,”
• Undergarments and socks (due to hygiene reasons),
• Gift cards
EXCHANGES
We offer size or color exchanges, subject to availability. If the desired item is out of stock, you may opt for:
• A store credit valid for 6 months, or
• A full refund (if within the 7-day return window)
REFUNDS
If eligible, refunds will be processed as follows:
• Refunds will be made via the original method of payment.
• Funds may take up to 10 working days to reflect, depending on your bank.
• Delivery charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to an error on our part (e.g. wrong item shipped, defective product).
DEFECTIVE OR FAULTY GOODS
If you receive an item that is damaged, defective, or not as described:
• Notify us within 7 days of delivery.
• We will arrange collection at our cost.
• You may choose between a repair, replacement, or refund as per your right under Section 56(2) of the CPA.
RETURN PROCESS
To initiate a return or exchange:
1. Email info@lugarcouture.com with your order number, item details, and reason for return.
2. Our team will respond within 2 business days with return instructions.
3. Once received and inspected, we’ll notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund or exchange.
DELIVERY ISSUES
In line with Section 19 of the CPA, if goods are not delivered within the agreed timeframe:
• You are entitled to cancel the purchase and receive a full refund.
• Alternatively, we may agree on a new delivery timeframe with your consent.
